Sunday, October 17, 2010, Anheuser-Busch brought 260 volunteers to eight NOAHH worksites in the 7th Ward and New Orleans East to help fight poverty housing and provide neighborhood clean up in New Orleans. Lead by their CEO, Dave Peacock, the Anheuser-Busch wholesalers and employees helped clean up lots, lay sod, paint, and put other finishing touches on homes on Frenchmen and throughout the area after presenting NOAHH with a check for $50,000!
Joining the volunteers on site were State Senator Edwin Murray, State Representative Cedric Richmond, and State Representative Juan LaFonta, all of whom joined NOAHH executive director Jim Pate and Anheuser-Busch CEO Dave Peacock in saying a few words at the event. After the check presentation, a world famous Budweiser Clydesdale was brought to the site for photo and video opportunities as part of the celebration of the event.
Also on site was NOAHH partner family Shirley Haynes, whose home on Frenchmen was part of the build day.
