Am pleased to post this note of gratitude from two of our musician homeowners. The letter is featured in todays Times Picayune Newspaper
"We are among the musicians who have been approved for a Habitat house. In fact, along with our friends and fellow musicians Jerome Hill and Michael Harris, among others, we will be neighbors in the Musicians' Village .
We want the public to know that this is the greatest opportunity that we have had to change our lives. Habitat worked with us every stop of the way to make this happen.
It isn't true that the Musicians' Village is not being built for musicians. Yes, there are nonmusician families who will live in and near the Village in Habitat houses, but that's a good thing. We want them as our neighbors -- we plan to teach their kids music!
If you are a musician and want to own a home, don't be discouraged. It's worth the effort."
